1. Introduction

NestMate ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy and your baby's information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your data when you use our baby care tracking application and website.

By using NestMate, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide

  • Account Information: Email address, display name, and profile photo.
  • Baby Information: Name, date of birth, gender, and growth measurements.
  • Care Records: Feeding, sleep, diaper tracking, milestones, and vaccinations.
  • Audio & Transcriptions: Audio recordings and transcriptions from doctor visits or care notes.
  • Media: Photos and videos uploaded to the baby's timeline.

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

  • Device Information: Model, OS version, and unique identifiers.
  • Usage Data: Interactions with app features and crash reports.
  • Location Data: If authorized, used for local weather and timezone-aware scheduling.
  • Health App Integration: If authorized, we sync sleep and activity with Apple HealthKit or Google Fit.
  • Integrations: Data from connected devices like the Owlet Smart Sock.

2.3 Android Beta Requests

When you request Android beta access, Google confirms the email address and verification status of the account you select. This request does not create a NestMate app account. We store that email, a non-public Google account identifier, your consent date and version, request status, and access-processing timestamps. We may add the email to a dedicated Google Workspace group and share it with Google Play solely to manage beta eligibility. Beta consent does not enroll you in marketing. We retain the request while the beta is active or until you ask us to delete it.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your data to:

  • Provide, operate, and maintain the Service.
  • Sync your data across authorized family devices.
  • Generate AI-powered insights and recommendations.
  • Calculate growth percentiles based on WHO/CDC standards.
  • Send reminders and notifications (with your permission).
  • Verify Android beta applicants, manage testing eligibility, and send essential access or status messages.

4. AI Features & Data Privacy

NestMate uses Artificial Intelligence (AI) to provide care insights.

  • Data Minimization: We do not send your child's name or exact date of birth to AI providers.
  • No Training: Your personal data is not used to train public AI models.
  • Providers: We use secure integrations with OpenAI (GPT-4) and Google (Gemini).

5. Data Storage and Security

We use Google Firebase to securely store your data. Your data is encrypted in transit (TLS/SSL) and at rest (AES-256).

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Export your data in a machine-readable format.
  • Request deletion of your account and all associated data.
  • Correct inaccurate information.

To exercise these rights, please contact us at support@nestmatebaby.com.

7. Children's Privacy

NestMate is designed for parents and caregivers. We do not knowingly collect information directly from children. All data is entered by adult caregivers.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.
